Salt Lake City, Utah
The Vice President of Transportation will Plan, organize, direct, and control the Operational and P&L performance of all business centers within the region. This individual will report directly to the company owners and oversee 25 states with 60 individual markets.
Role you will play:
Lead all operational and non-asset transportation activities within the organization including, courier, small package, parcel, final mile, or home delivery
Oversee 10+ facilities across multiple states supporting over 60 individual markets
Interact with client companies and owner operators to ensure all commitments are met
Drive the growth of the business by providing exceptional customer service to existing clients while assisting in the onboarding process with new clients
Reviews performance against operational and financial KPI standards.  
Defines and recommends objectives in each area of Operations with specific short-term and long-term plans and programs.
Provides quarterly Operational, Financial and Staffing reviews to ownership 
Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and recommends compensation for them
Identifies training needs, initiates development of employees, recommends effective personnel action
Ensures that duties, responsibilities, and authority and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood​
Background Profile
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Must have 10+ years of experience managing a multiple facility/operation within a courier, small package, parcel, final mile, or home delivery provider
Background working with box trucks, 26’ truck, step vans, and cargo vans
5+ years management experience with increasing responsibility
Must have experience working with TMS
Strong leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Background with P&L responsibility
Strong entrepreneurial mindset desired
Base salary plus bonus potential
