The Vice President Transportation and Operations will Plan, organize, direct, and control the Operational and P&L performance of all business centers within the region. This individual will report directly to company owners. This individual will report directly to the company owners and oversee 25 states with 60 individual markets.

Role you will play:
To exemplify and lead by the highest quality of character, communication, competency, commitment, consistency, creativity and chemistry.
Reviews performance against operational and financial KPI standards.  Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves/implements changes to improve performance.
Defines and recommends objectives in each area of Operations with specific short-term and long-term plans and programs.
Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the corporation in establishing  and carrying out responsibilities
Establishes objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities.  Provides quarterly Operational, Financial and Staffing reviews to Senior Management. 
Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and recommends compensation for them
Identifies training needs, initiates development of employees, recommends effective personnel action
Coordinates activities of assigned locations with those of other company locations.  Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination
Ensures that duties, responsibilities, and authority and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood​


Background Profile
10+ years Management experience successfully managing a multiple facility/operation within a third party logistics provider.
Experience in working in a multiple client and/or multiple facility operation.
Must have extensive experience in WMS, and preferred TMS and YMS experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong experience in trucking – specifically final mile.
