Our client is one of the top 10 global providers of transportation and logistics services with multi-billion in revenue and strong growth. They provide contract logistics, freight brokerage, less-than-truckload, truckload, last mile, intermodal, drayage, ground and air expedited freight, global forwarding, and managed transportation. 


Recruit, select, train, and manage employees as well as all aspects of the operation, including: addressing any operational issues that arise, resolving problems, planning the operation and its staffing, assigning, and directing work to employees.

• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Supervise all employees reporting to the service center, including coaching and administering corrective action 
• Plan the daily manpower needs to ensure customers' freight is delivered and picked-up timely.
• Maximize employee engagement and communicate with employees at all levels of the company
• Responsible for the clean and safe working condition of the facility and equipment
• Monitor, analyze and implement all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
• Provide clear and frequent communication to all employees on service center productivity and company policies and procedures
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as all company policies/procedures
• Identify opportunities for improvement and execute action plans to improve efficiencies
• Have knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Working in a concerted effort with other supervisors and managers to provide direction, guidance and coaching to team members within a positive work environment.
• Utilize ethical business practices in dealing with customers, employees, vendors, suppliers and the community.
• Route proper documentation and procedure control for hazardous material shipments.
• Track and audit employee's hours; handle payroll issues and personnel changes.
• Recruit, interview, hire and train new employees as applicable

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• At least two years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience with process improvement and the use of Lean and/or Six Sigma preferred.
• Prior experience in a LTL environment required.
• Must be able to travel as needed, and have a valid driver's license.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, Transportation Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules, and company policies and procedures, preferred.
