PT has 20 domestic hubs strategically located near major ports, interstate highways and intermodal rail lines allowing them to provide a variety of services to an array of industry verticals including mass retail, apparel, and footwear companies.

Carteret, NJ

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for running shift in a 600,000 sq. ft. warehouse with 100+ employees.

Role you will play:
Develops and maintains operational plans to include all business requirements which include labor hours, KPI reporting, and meeting financial objectives.
Establishes quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding both internal and external business metrics.
Provides input to the development customer relationship strategy.
Provides guidance and development of client SOP’s, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility and equipment needs.
Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Coordinates activities with all other functions of the organization and utilization of human resources, IT, and equipment.
Reviews operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and customer service problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Responsible for financial analysis of the operational expenses.
Interviews, hires, and manages performance of 100+ employees.
Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.

Background Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
Experience managing at least 50 non-exempt associates reporting directly to this position
5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced warehousing and/or Distribution Center
Strong proficiency in utilizing WMS
Experience with developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operations and financial objectives
Strong tactical management experience
