Our client, Michael Kors is a global fashion luxury group, consisting of fashion luxury categories including women’s and men’s accessories, footwear and apparel as well as wearable technology, watches, jewelry, eyewear and a full line of fragrance products. Established in 1981, the company’s annual revenue is over 4.5 billion with more than 550 stores and 1500 in-store boutiques in various countries.

The Senior Operations Manager will manage a 650,000 sq. ft. “big box” distribution center in a high volume, high turn, and multi-shift environment. This member will be responsible to lead a main team within Michael Kors Omni Channel Distribution Center to process orders and complete shipments to Wholesale, Retail and E-Commerce customers.

  • Leading a group of Supervisors directly with a total base team of 100 employees
  • Assessing and training supervisors and associates in picking, packing and the pack/hold process including the weighing and manifesting of outbound orders
  • Assessing performance and providing feedback to supervisor
  • Assisting in the selection and training of qualified associates. Partnering with the Director of Operations and Human Resources regarding interviewing, hiring, reviews, corrective counseling, and terminations within the Distribution Center.
  • Conduct dock and pack/hold inspections to ensure shipment accuracy
  • Ensure high quality of work and maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory
  • Implementing continuous process improvement initiatives that reduce cost of operations while improving service level, capacity, productivity and quality
  • Establishing and adjusting work procedures and shift schedules to meet deadlines as dictated by volume fluctuations
  • Developing a schedule and priorities for picking goods
  • Demonstrate Proficiency in Planning of the workload & develop short and long term resource requirements based on volume
  • Understanding and providing leadership support for safety and security within the Distribution Center
  • Supervising and monitoring the execution of picking and packing of orders
  • Setting priorities for pack and hold and staging outbound orders for shipping
  • Coordinating Distribution priorities with the shipping department and Routing Manager
  • Establishing and delivering on metrics to drive performance improvement
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge with Labor Management Systems to help drive performance with the employees


  • Experience with high SKU count and high volume distribution.
  • Previous warehouse management is required; prefer 10 years experience with 5 years as a manager
  • Knowledge and experience working on Manhattan Associates Warehouse
  • Management System, WM or PkMS, or equivalent
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred
