Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, has a job opportunity for a Jr.Electrical Engineer at the Wilson, North Carolina Passenger Tire Plant. This position will be responsible for providing troubleshooting and engineering support to daily operations with focus on reliability and equipment uptime with a secondary responsibility on equipment modification and engineering projects.

Assist maintenance in troubleshooting equipment and control problems to keep production equipment operational.

Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule with primary focus on daily operations.

Responsible for the safe design, procurement, installation, debug, start-up and operation of the plant equipment and projects as assigned. Also responsible for equipment modifications, project management, and contractor management.

Support the production needs as necessary for equipment operation and reliability.

Prepare design reviews, budgets, schedules, drawings, and scopes of work for project implementation and provide the necessary information/project documentation. Prepare training for emergency maintenance and preventative maintenance crews.

Background Profile
BS Electrical Engineering degree required.
Prior intern/co-op engineering experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Prefer experience in writing/developing/programming PLC's; experience with specifying, installing, start-up and operation of A/C inverter drives, D/C drives and Servo drives including Allen-Bradley (PLC 2 and 5, Control Logix), Mitsubishi, Siemens, and General Electric; and a working knowledge of Ethernet IP communications, power distribution equipment including sizing transformers, electrical feeders, and distribution gear for equipment loads from 120 up to 13,800 volts. Prefer experience with controls design, Fanuc robotics, SAP, MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
