POSITION
  This Director of Information Technology reports to the CEO and provides leadership, planning, oversight and management for all areas of IT strategy, development, and implementation as well as oversee daily activity of all aspects of the IT function at ITS Logistics in their asset based division. The selected candidate will be charged with working with the various departments to understand and anticipate their needs, developing and maintaining a fully capable and responsive team of IT professionals who can deliver with the diverse business areas – in an effective and cost-efficient way, meeting all compliance and regulatory standards.

ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
Ensure ITS Logistics’ IT department think and behave consistent with the ITS Logistics mission of adding value to all stakeholder groups
Partner other IT Leaders within organization to oversee operation of the company’s technology infrastructure, including: Networking, Software Engineering & Development, Data Management, Client Computing, Security / Compliance, Help Desk, and Business Intelligence (BI)
Define a strategic roadmap that considers business needs and leverages new technology opportunities, defining and maintaining a set of technology standards which are consistent with our overall architectural design. Develop and implement an enterprise cloud strategy in alignment with cybersecurity and financial management requirements
Maintain direct oversight to serve the software engineering and development needs of the ITS Fleet and ITS Distribution divisions as well as ITS Logistics Corporate
Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of IT systems that fulfill the needs of the business
Provides overall direction for the development, execution and maintenance of an IT budget that includes operational and capital expenditures
Collaborate with other IT leaders to achieve our overall goal of “one source of the truth” via Enterprise Data Warehouse
Provide strategic direction and oversight for the implementation and integration of both custom ITS solutions and COTS applications
Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse Op-Ex and Cap-Ex budget exceeding $5mm annually.
Ensure integrity and security of data and systems; direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan, as well as continually assesses and provide guidance on cybersecurity threats and risks and provide appropriate mitigation options.
Develop roadmaps and strategic direction for software engineering best practices, tools, and products which augment the current ITS landscape and solution suite
Champion the creation of internal and external customer solutions which enhance both efficiency and profit
Provide a clear roadmap for all technology related “lights on” operation functions at ITS
Assess the current IT landscape and develop solutions that meet both business objectives and enhances organizational efficiencies; provide a cohesive, broad perspective and champion the value of technology and its ability to integrate and simplify business processes
Lead the implementation of industry standards and development methodologies to increase responsiveness and growth
Oversee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of enterprise data without disrupting digital transformation and growth.
Maintain currency on new technologies and platforms including business intelligence (BI) and edge computing; provide direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced in infrastructure and operations (I&O) to ensure that IT capabilities respond to the needs of the enterprise's business strategy.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and oversight to project management and business process re-engineering (BPR) efforts throughout the enterprise and serve as a catalyst for change in both technology and process.

BACKGROUND PROFILE
Previous experience in logistics (specifically 3PL) helpful but not required.
Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, and ten (10) years of management experience in Information Technology with a minimum of 5 years at a Director level
Proven track record of developing and evolving business infrastructure and support networks for high transaction volume businesses that deliver great user experience with maximum security protection
Proven ability to provide a strategic vision for a rapidly evolving organization as well as ensure day to day operational stability
Demonstrated record of accomplishment in execution and evolution in executive level IT leadership in a multi-vertical business environment
Deep understanding of current and emerging I&O technologies and practices, and how other enterprises are employing them
Deliver effective service management through the definition and adoption of a governance practice that uses KPIs and metrics to track and measure the quality of service. Integrates them with key accountabilities to ensure consistency of approach and continual service improvement
Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
Practical experience in developing and implementing a high-performing IT environment and knowledge of "what good looks like”
Ability to manage and fulfill a broad spectrum of the organization’s needs – from baseline, tactical to strategic in nature
Effective technical ability to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex issues
Ability to effectively collaborative alliances and promote and foster teamwork among the Executive Team; and ability to mentor, provide leadership and teamwork among department managers and supervisors
