Frisco, TX (Headquarters) 

We are seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to work at our Corporate Headquarters in Frisco, TX. You will supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team while managing driver performance and activities.  

Role you will play:
• Supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, appraising and rewarding. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Manage driver performance and activities. Ensure maximum utilization of the fleet through effective scheduling of drivers and company assets.
• Manage work assignments. Develop daily delivery plan utilizing equipment, manpower and other resources to ensure an effective, efficient operation.
• Organize, plan and implement transportation solutions for assigned customers that utilize the best cost option to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, and vendors.
• Assist in the identification and development of operational software increasing visibility producing increased service levels and cost containment.
• Perform additional administrative functions to include driver and owner operator recruitment, payroll, billing, driver counseling, post-accident reviews.
• Ensure compliance with D.O.T., OSHA, EPA (Smartways), and all federal and state regulations, as well as company rules and policies. Monitor, train and promote safety in all areas of dispatch.

Background Profile
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years of recent supervisory experience in transportation or similar industry/work environment; supervising and leading a transportation team consisting of drivers and office staff.
• Demonstrated experience leading, directing, communicating change and developing a team strongly desired.
• Development of KPI’s and Performance Metrics.
• Experience conducting business using multiple software systems and processes.
• Strong skill base and comfort with technology including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and routing or dispatching systems.
