Our client has over 30+ years’ experience in dedicated third party logistics, servicing a variety of industries including working with numerous top mass retailers and consumer products companies. Our Client has facilities nationwide throughout the East Coast and greater Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities include the following:
• Develops and maintains operational plans to include all business requirements which include labor hours, production costs, KPI reporting, and meeting financial objectives.
• Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding both internal and external business metrics.
• Provides guidance and development of client SOP’s, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility and equipment needs.
• Thorough experience on Manhattan-type WMS; utilizing full functionality including RF. Must be able to use management and performance functionality of WMS to drive efficiency.  
• TMS experience to include management of inbound and outbound loads, transload operations, invoicing, and KPI management.
• YMS experience for optimizing yard operations and inventory control.
• Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
• Coordinates activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, IT, and equipment.
• Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and customer service problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Responsible for financial analysis of the operational expenses.
• Interviews, hires, and manages performance of 150+ employees.
• Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.

• 5-10+ years experience in a fast-paced warehousing cross-dock environment; 3PL experience preferred  
• Must have transload and cross-dock experience
• Extensive experience working with sorting boxes not pallet or bulk orders
• Background in a pick & pack operation
• Experience creating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives including but not limited to Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma where you were able to cut cost, improve efficiency, or streamline processes
• Strong proficiency in utilizing WMS, TMS, and YMS systems
• Experience with developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operations and financial objectives
• Development and management of profit and loss statements
• Strong tactical management experience
• 1st Shift but flexible to work different shifts based on business needs
• Experience managing at least 50 non-exempt associates reporting directly to this position
• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree a plus
