Over the last 6 years, of their 30 years in business, this transportation and distribution service provider has profitably controlled 20% annual growth exceeding $400 million in revenue.

Role you will Play:
• Responsible for leading the National Transportation Safety functions for a $100 million trucking division of this National 3PL which includes 700 units, 80% of which are owner operators.
• Provide oversight of safety policies, programs, procedures and basic governance including corporate auditing, to ensure compliance consistent with safety management policies and procedures.
• Responsible for assessment of current company transportation safety/compliance programs, processes and culture; identify, develop, and implement strategic and tactical plan of required safety/compliance programs. 
• Manage safety/compliance based capital projects through engineering controls, etc. by partnering with executive and operations management, finance, engineering, etc.
• Work with operations and executive leadership to identify, create and implement strategic direction and proactive initiatives that will improve Transportation Safety/compliance performance through minimizing risks and liabilities. 
• Design, implement, and continuously improve corporate transportation safety/compliance management consistent with industry standard practices. 
• Oversee and direct programs in a multi-state environment which ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies (OSHA, DOT, CHP, etc.). 

Background:
• 10 - 15 years related experience in corporate Transportation safety and systems development with specific experience in multi-state and multi-mode transportation. 
• Hands-on experience in Transportation Operations Management preferred. 
• Working knowledge of US DOT, OSHA and CHP related regulations.
