JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Sales/Business Development will be responsible for growing the last mile distribution/overnight/expedited, LTL/truckload, warehousing and fulfillment services throughout the United States.

 Responsibilities include:
• Meet with middle/senior logistics executives in client organizations to scope out and understand needs for reoccurring transportation projects and other service sales opportunities.
• Plan and conduct sales calls, including developing a sales-call plan and call specific objectives materials, conducting face-to-face calls with customers at all levels in their organizations.
• Contacting new clients for business development and gathering data in order to formulate bids. This individual with be supported by lead generating tools.
• Leverage independent carrier networks in addition to the Company’s relationships and assets to construct price and service models to meet customer needs.
• On-going customer support and service.
• Opportunity to utilize a network of 200 carriers

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years’ experience in courier/small package and fulfillment processes, LTL/truckload, air freight as well as container movements
• 3+ years business development experience in the logistics industry
• Knowledge operating within the 3PL industry
• Marketing/Social Networking experience
• Knowledge with Salesforce.com
