Summary
The Director of Safety and Compliance is responsible for overseeing workplace safety and compliance for the multi-state regions of JW Logistics. They will identify and resolve safety issues, develop and maintain best practices policies, and provide input for proposed modifications to facility and production processes. This role is pivotal in addressing our concern of safety violations in the field as well as ensuring we are legally compliant in our daily workplace practices.

Role you will play:
• Develop and maintain “best practices” policies around safety and compliance and coordinate/support the operations to ensure those policies and practices are followed and executed consistently in the field.
• Review, administer, and maintain compliance with various state and federal regulations as well as with company policies.
• Maintain, coordinate, and communicate occupational health and safety processes and procedures to achieve company and customer objectives.
• Conduct audits of facility requirements both virtually and onsite to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety programs and initiatives.
• Proactively conduct safety evaluations in all sites to determine if changes are needed in processes, training, training, visual tools, and equipment.
• Review, analyze, develop, and communicate occupational health and safety programs and solutions initiatives.
• Generate and maintain required reports; analyze injury reports for trends and necessary modifications to PPE.
• Oversee PPE programs purchases in all facilities, oversee and approve all safety SOWs, work instructions, and forms.
• Perform mock audits regularly to verify compliance.

Background Profile
• High School diploma/GED, or 1-3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Ability to write - in English - reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations, technical procedures, professional journals, or general business periodicals.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
