Position Overview
Director Information Systems Product Delivery for the Company’s Genetics Division will be responsible for ensuring successful product delivery through best in class quality and information systems.  Provide Quality oversight over the entire product workflow globally.  Lead improvement initiatives to improve on quality or other processes that would result in customer satisfaction, diminished costs, constant improvement and increased profits.  Defines and oversees the implementation of IT initiatives to address business objectives and requirements. Oversees implementation of IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. Consults with and advises decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective enterprise solutions for all aspects of the Genetics organization.

Responsibilities
Oversight of configuration, support and maintenance activities and resources for optimal operation of IT Systems in support of Commercial Systems assuring implementation of best practices. This includes directing the installation, configuration, design, patching, upgrading, and maintenance. 
Ensures that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
Defines the strategic vision and direction of the LIMS and helps to manage the delivery of the strategic objectives.
Segmenting a set of data and managing who sees what portions of that data? For example, managing the flow of data so that with the same data say finance sees some of the information, marketing sees other portions of it, and so on
Works closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing and Operations on the implementation of new projects and infrastructures including operational readiness, change preparation, change execution, and post-change QA validation.
Responsible for project managing large-scale / enterprise programs and associated projects that integrate business processes with technology to achieve operational efficiencies.
Responsible for evaluation and selection of commercial applications and systems to achieve business needs and corporate objectives.
Consults with and advises BT executive staff and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for the commercial area.
Design global IT strategies for areas of responsibility in collaboration with senior business leadership and provide oversight for the implementation.
Analyzes existing operations and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the commercial enterprise infrastructure and IT systems
Negotiates and administers vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Responsible for managing the LIMS system and related support staff.
Manage user expectations, requirements, and relationships including renegotiating of customer expectations while balancing with the needs of the business.
Drive problem investigation and resolution as required.
Stay informed about IT technology trends, directions and uses in the life science industry.
Ensure compliance with regulations related to business systems and IT infrastructure
Responsible for planning and implementing the quality systems strategy to meet company objectives
Ensures compliant and robust Quality systems that are consistently implemented across all sites
Ensures the continuous improvement, rationalization and management of Quality processes, systems and operations
Engaging with various levels of management to support overall Quality systems
Sets direction for the preparation and delivery of regular management reports on the daily/weekly/monthly operations status

Qualification
10+ years experience with the Life Sciences industry ideal.
Senior level skills in program & project management, business process re-engineering, implementation of new business processes, organizational change management in regard to new system deployment, risk management, communication, and issue and conflict management.
Managing product support i.e. managing the actual data and the flow of that data
Managing product changes and new product implementations, not systems implementations
Translating customer and operations specification into data priorities and product priorities
Experience and/or demonstrated ability to manage onsite, near-site and global delivery vendors
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms required.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional project teams required.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into solutions that map to technology capabilities
Must demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate with existing subject matter experts, across many functions, and utilize them as team members.
Proven success in delivering IT solutions.
Strong business acumen and relationship skills
Proven ability in innovation and to work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
