Our client, is a 31-year-old international third-party logistics company focused on trucking, warehousing, air freight, trading, and freight forwarding. Our client has locations in The United States, Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan.

The General Manager of Logistics Projects will be responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the Unites States Business with a heavy focus on growing the domestic business through business development activities, customer relationships, sourcing of new logistics vendors, while managing the staff based in the United States. This strategic role will also be responsible for approving all P+L budgets, companywide KPI’s, the organizations service offerings, and overall profitability of the business unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive KPI’s, service offerings, and increase profitability of The United States business unit.
  • Grow the operational capabilities of the organizations service offerings including, warehousing, trucking/transportation, ocean shipping, and trading.
  • Manage and evaluate the needs of critical clients volumes and needs.
  • Experience in growing domestic operations.
  • Create, foster, and establish strategic partnerships with both existing and new clients.
  • KPI and P&L report’s covering the cost drivers.
  • Approve and manage the RFP/RFQ process for new and existing customer bids in every facet of the business.
  • Focus efforts within the core industry verticals of the organization with a heavy focus within the oil and gas industries.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 10+ years of experience in third party logistics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and growing United States Operations.
  • Experience in a 3PL environment supporting multiple customers or lines of business.
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers to improve business operations and results.
  • Experience supporting negotiations for new customer or increased customer contracts.
  • Experience implementing and managing key performance indicators throughout operations and holding management and employees accountable for performance metrics.
  • High level and complex P&L experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills.


  • $150,000- $180,000 base salary
