Summary:
The Senior Director of Continuous Improvement (CI) is responsible for providing strategic leadership across the organization to improve, optimize and innovate across the business and drive CI as a key strategic differentiator. This individual will drive the adoption of leading CI practices across the network. This leader and team will develop a strong in-house CI capability and implement CI efforts throughout our network. This role requires the development of strong internal and external relationships at all levels within the organization and with our strategic partner customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve in a key leadership role driving Continuous Improvement across all operations
- Facilitate the achievement of successful financial results via CI initiatives and practices
- Develop and execute a cohesive strategy for continuous improvement
- Ensures the effective application of problem-solving techniques from root cause analysis to the implementation and sustainability of corrective and preventive actions driving continuous improvement, operational KPIs, and centers of excellence
- Establishes governance to ensuring effective cross functional alignment and sponsorship on end-to-end process definition, design, measurement, and continuous improvement
- Act as champion and visionary across the business and serving as an expert and thought leader with an understanding of leading practice in process improvement excellence
- Researches and implements new tools to aid in resolving complex process issues, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Identify strategic CI initiatives that drive productivity improvements, service enhancement, employee engagement, and cost savings throughout operations
- Partner with the executive leadership team to develop CI initiatives that communicate the companies value proposition for current and prospective customers
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications to define and articulate CI strategy and results as a source of competitive advantage
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Additional duties as assigned
Education And Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Management at four-year university
- 12 or more years of operations experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role at another Logistics, Distribution, or Manufacturing organization
- Significant experience in e-commerce and e-fulfillment
- Confidence to take calculated risks, make strategic, results-oriented decisions and accept responsibility for the results (positive or negative)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build a team, lead, motivate, drive performance and accountability.
- Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Preferred, PMP certification preferred

- Salary Range – $180,000-$215,000 plus bonus
